When swimming with the eldest of his 3 sons, Arjen came up with the idea of combining his hobbies diving, photography and working with children and put it into practice in January 2011. His main focus is on underwater photography of children in swimming pools, in which he has already photographed over 30,000 children creatively and individually. The team of aqua.baby photographers is now growing and Arjen is responsible for the management.

Philipp, 36-year-old photographer and media professional from Cologne, supports Arjen in photographing day-care centers, schools and baby swimming. He is a reliable and friendly professional who does his job with a lot of fun, ease and passion. In private life, he is the father of two kids which is the greatest motivation for him to get a little bit better every day. Philipp is responsible for daily operations in Germany and manages photographers and image editors.

Edgar is not only the latest addition to our team, he is also the responsible partner for the development of aqua.baby Spain. He has worked in many British and Spanish film and television productions for more than 25 years; BBC World, ITV, Channel 4, Discovery, NASA / ESA TV, Pinewood-Shepperton Studios, to name a few. As a caring father of two, he introduced his children to the water at a very early age. He taught them to respect and protect this magical environment.

Benjamin Schulze is constantly in the water as a lecturer for diving and swimming at the Sport University Cologne. He also regularly goes on a diving job as a journalist and photographer for the German diving magazine Unterwasser. In addition to his own son, children are generally close to his heart. He has a very relaxed way around people, all children (and parents) feel completely at ease. The result is authentic pictures of the highest quality.

Dani has been a reliable employee in the field of image processing since the summer of 2016. She is happy to be at work and has a very good eye for the best pictures and composes great albums. Directly after the shoot, most of the projects go to Dani, where the high-priority images are processed quickly.
She is a mother of 3 boys and can do at least 5 things at the same time. She invented multitasking.

Gerd is also responsible for the post-processing of the pictures in our team. Since 2017, he has been adding a lot of value to the quality of our photo work.
Photoshop and Lightroom are his applications of choice to get the most out of the images. He is also a passionate photographer and has a keen eye for capturing the right moment. Gerd acts as an assistant on certain shoots to keep us on our tracks.

Gina has been with us since the beginning of 2020. She’s happy she’s been so well received into the team. She is a trained graphic and product designer and a retail saleswoman. Since 2019 she has been working as a freelancer in the creative and design sector, among others for aqua.baby. Her main interests are animation, illustration and games. Apart from that, she enjoys discovering the world anew with her young son and escaping with him the sometimes stressful everyday adult life.
